Skirts, dresses, or pants—easy outfits for every part of the weekend.
When I’m hosting overnight guests, I want to feel comfortable, put together, and free to enjoy the time—not worrying about what I’m wearing. That’s why I pulled together this little weekend capsule, which I’m calling Blueberry Blush. It’s full of soft summer colors, classic shapes, and just a touch of romance.
There are outfit ideas whether you love wearing skirts (like I do!) or prefer pants and shorts. The goal is simple, elegant looks that feel good no matter what’s on the schedule—whether you’re sitting by the fire or tossing a lawn game in the park.
This capsule was created to go along with the Joyful Weekend Itinerary (with meals and activities) and includes outfits for each part of the weekend—from the first evening by the firepit to brunch in the park. Whether you love wearing skirts (like I do!) or prefer pants and shorts, you’ll find easy, elegant looks that feel just right for hosting.

Hostess Capsule: Blueberry Blush (with Skirts and Pants options)
My color season is Soft Summer… more on the dusty side, and many of the clothes I link to are actual pieces I have or close matches I found online. I’ve included options for both skirt-lovers and pant-wearers so you can make it your own.

Friday Night Firepit and Welcome
- Dusty Blue Floral Blouse — Soft, romantic, and the centerpiece of the outfit
- Dusty Blue Cardigan — Adds a light layer without competing, keeping the palette tonal and gentle
- Ivory Skirt — Brightens the outfit and complements the blouse without overpowering it. Feminine and fresh.
- Beige Sandals — A neutral, grounding touch that keeps the look airy and comfortable.
- Pearl Studs — Classic, feminine, and subtly luminous.
- Silver Butterfly Necklace — Whimsical and delicate; adds just the right amount of charm without being too bold.
- Low Bun with Soft Face-Framing Pieces — Polished but relaxed. Matches the “relaxed hostess” vibe beautifully.
- Hair Accessories: Soft gray satin or velvet scrunchie or pearl-accented hairpin for gentle sparkle.
- Style Tip from the Relaxed Hostess: A slim blush belt pulls the whole look together and defines the waist without taking over the outfit.
