Weekend Itinerary
Friday Night: Firepit and Welcome
Start the weekend off with warmth—literally!
Activity: Backyard firepit with music and cozy seating.
Dinner Menu:
- Charcuterie board with cheeses, roasted nuts, sliced veggies, and hummus

Atmosphere: Lanterns or string lights, soft throws, and outdoor pillows for comfort.
Rainy Day Backup Plan: Game Night
Bring out the charcuterie board and settle down for an evening filled with laughter and a bit of a competition. Whether you choose to play cooperative board games or a couple of popular card games, you’ll create a warm welcome for your guests.
Saturday Morning: Botanical Garden Visit
This refreshing nature outing offers plenty of time to chat and soak in the beauty together.

- Grapes, carrots, cherry tomatoes
- Oatmeal cookies with seeds or nuts for extra nutrients
- Water
Option 2 – Café at the Garden
- No prep required.
Rainy Day Backup Plan: Bookstore+Cozy Cafe Visit
Some gardens might have an indoor section too, so your plans don’t have to change much, but if it’s all outdoors, head to a charming local bookstore or library instead. Everyone can browse at their own pace—maybe pick out a card, a small gift, or a book they loved as a kid.
Afterward, cozy up at a café for warm drinks and relaxed conversation. Choose a spot with comfy chairs, local pastries, and a good window to watch the rain.
Optional twist: Set a light browsing theme, like “something that makes you smile” or “a book you would’ve loved as a kid.”
Saturday Afternoon: Cold Drinks & Conversation + DIY Spa Moment
Restful time to unwind before dressing up for dinner.
Afternoon Snack:
- Iced herbal tea or cucumber-lemon water
- Trail mix and fresh fruit
Atmosphere: Soft background music, conversation, and optional quiet time.
Spa Basket (in the guest bathroom):
- Sugar scrub for Hands (non-toxic)
- Organic rose water mist
- Moisturizing lotion
- Soft washcloths
- A little note that says: Relax & Refresh Before the Dinner
Saturday Evening: Dinner & Downtown Stroll
Dress up and enjoy the town—perhaps dinner on a patio, live music, or a charming boutique or bookstore along the way.
Dinner: Choose a favorite local restaurant with ambience that fits your group.
Activity: Take a stroll downtown—window shopping, photo ops, or live music if you find it!
Sunday Morning: Brunch in the Park + Lawn Games
Wrap up the weekend with fresh air and playful vibe.
Brunch Menu (Make-Ahead Friendly):
- Frittata squares or crustless veggie quiche
- Smoked salmon or turkey slices with whole grain rolls (and butter)
- Mixed berries and melon
- Muffins made with protein-rich Greek yogurt
- Coffee, tea, and water
Games: Ring toss, ladder ball, Mölkky (a favorite from Finland), or your go-to lawn game
Atmosphere: picnic blankets, cushions, soft music, and laughter
