Soft spring bedroom styling inspired by morning light and winding cottage greenery.
I wanted the bedroom to feel soft and airy, like warm spring sunlight moving through the vines at the edge of the woodland meadow.
Naturally, I picked soft neutrals and greenery to begin with. But the room needed a little bit of warmth to come alive fully, so I wove a little joy in the calm.
I also created a soft botanical printable for this space, inspired by pale spring grasses and morning light. You can download it free at the end of the post if you’d like to bring a little of the Sunlit Vines feeling into your own home.

Bedroom Inspired by Morning Light

Let’s talk first about the foundation: the walls and the dresser.
The wall paint is called Storybook Charm, which is just right for a storybook cottage home. But combining the cool lavender walls with warm oak furniture is an unusual choice. However, the soft greens and creams bridge these tones beautifully.
And now the theme I chose: Sunlit Vines. I wanted to create a feeling of a soft spring morning just beginning to glow. It is about the time when the world still feels quiet and slightly misty, and the sunlight is drifting through leaves and lace.
Creating the Sunlit Vines Arrangement

My decor displays tend to be asymmetrical but balanced. I also love to create movement and breathing room, bringing Nordic calm into our home. So, it felt natural to begin this setting with a couple of books stacked in front of a botanical print. Together, they formed a space for the greenery to weave around the vignette.
Airy florals in a simple glass vase felt as if they were written into the scene already. A heavy arrangement would have prevented the sunlight from weaving through the vines.
After I had placed the eucalyptus and the other greenery on the books, I noticed something was missing. And that something was the sunlight. So I brightened the arrangement with a few yellow details.
The Small Details That Add Warmth and Light

The real magic of a room lives in the tiny details. And that is how I brought the sunlight in, with little yellow pieces.
You’ll find buttery-yellow blossoms nestled inside a ramekin, and a single piece of greenery resting in a bowl, looking like it had just drifted down from a gentle spring breeze.

I tucked another little creamy flower by the books under the eucalyptus to be a little surprise. My favorite addition was the pale yellow ribbon woven in the vines. It truly represented the sun rays drifting in through the windows or dancing in the woodland meadow.
Layering Texture in a Soft Spring Bedroom

I frequently use lace and crocheted textures in our home. They are one of the easiest ways to add storybook charm to any space. And for this bedroom dresser arrangement, I wanted a layered look. So, I placed a crocheted runner and a folded square doily with a lace trim to anchor the whole scene.
Even though I used items from runners and books to candles and florals, the room felt restful, airy, and warm.
A Calm Corner for Spring

And here it is, one more time, the Sunlit Vines dresser… minus the sunlight LOL. I took the picture before adding the yellow ribbon, only to notice later that I had forgotten to take another with it, and by then a new story had arrived in the bedchamber. But even without the ribbon, you can see the misty morning light and slowly waking vines.
The items I used for spring decorating the dresser:
- A crocheted table runner and a doily
- Two ivory LED candles
- A stoneware plate with a couple of doilies to soften the look
- A simple glass vase with greenery and soft white flowers.
- Two neutral colored books
- Greenery
- Two ramekins
- Soft yellow ribbon and a couple of yellow blossoms
- Botanical art print
Sunlit Vines on the Bed
I do not have pictures of the bed, but I’d love to share the bedding and throw pillows:
- A gorgeous, cotton, embossed, oversized quilt in ivory
- Creamy throw pillows with sage green leaves
