Creating a small spring decor arrangement for the hall table is a quick project.
This little shelf unit stands in a quiet corner of the Storybook Cottage. It can easily go unnoticed. But I still like to adorn it with seasonal decor, creating small scenes like this spring one, which I’m about to show you.
It features an elegant glass bird and a white bunny, perhaps the cousin of the one in the spring story on the coffee table.

A Soft Foundation with a Crocheted Doily
Easy spring vignette with a soft base.
This setting starts with an entryway table, a simple, white, two-shelf unit. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary table holding a basket for keys, but that’s not all it does. It also acts as a stage for seasonal displays.
At the base of this spring scene is a crocheted doily, which I made in my teens, so quite a few springs ago.
It creates a soft foundation for all the seasonal arrangements. And its cozy texture brings a bit of warmth to each scene.
Adding Height with a Glass Vase and Greenery

I keep a small vase on the entryway table throughout the year; what’s in it changes. For the springtime, the vase gets a green sprig. Together, they add just enough height to keep the decor arrangement from being flat.
Grandmacore Spring Vignette
This whole spring vignette says, “You have entered Grandma’s house. Welcome to little stories that blossom in unexpected places.”
Whether you’re a grandma or not, this cottage-style spring decor gives your home a sense of cozy, playful days, in a Storybook Cottage Elegance way.
Cottage Style Spring Decor for Hallway Table

As I mentioned, the cottage-style decor setup started with the doily, creating an inviting spot for spring visitors.
And they did arrive. I placed a white bunny next to a tiny nest as if it had just wandered in to exchange“spring is here” greetings with a mama bird.
At first, the arrangement felt a little unfinished. Adding a tiny pink rose by the bird and a few yellow blossoms made it feel complete.

What is going to be in your spring scene on the entryway table? I’d love to show you next how I decorated our china cabinet for spring.
A Storybook Note
Sometimes all you need is a couple of delightful blossoms to bring a scene to life.
With warmth and a storybook sprinkle,
