Two Romantic Throws and Their Storybook Seasons

Some pieces make a quiet statement with their softness and texture. If they are not there, you’ll notice something is missing. These two romantic throw blankets are like that. They are not just cozy layers for cool evenings, but characters in the story of our rooms, each with its own texture, mood, and season.

Like two lovebirds, different, but just right together.

The Dusty Pink Cable-Knit Throw – Sweater Weather

Dusty Pink Cable Knit Throw Blanket

The dusty pink cable-knit throw is like a cozy sweater but for the bed. The texture and warmth make it just right for the cooler seasons.

I use it for our Fading Garden autumn bedroom, and it also makes an appearance for the month of February, the Valentine’s season. In case you wonder, our this year’s Valentine’s chapter is called, Remember When.

As I mentioned, the texture reminds me of a sweater, cooler days, walking outside, or curling up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa. I could even see wrapping this throw over my shoulders when checking the mailbox.

The Blush Rose Throw – A Romantic Wanderer

Blush rose pattern throw blanket

This is one of my favorite throw blankets of all time. The beautiful rose pattern and the plush, fluffy softness create an instant romantic rose garden. Which makes it perfect for the Valentine’s season.

I like to place the blush blanket on our bed, but it would also look lovely draped over an armchair. In the summer, the rosy blanket drifts to the Rose Parlour, but returns to the bedroom for the autumn’s Fading Garden.

The matching blush rose pillow covers make the Valentine’s arrangement even sweeter.

Textiles Tell the Seasons

I love to decorate the home, but I don’t do a complete overhaul for each season. Textiles, like these throw blankets and pillows, do their fair share of the work.

They wander from one season to another or even to another room to be layered with other textures and colors creating a different seasonal mood.

  • Dusty Pink Cable-Knit spends February and autumn in the bedroom.
  • Blush Rose settles in the bedroom in February and autumn, and in the Rose Parlour for the summer months.

A Storybook Note

Inviting ordinary objects, like throw blankets, to be part of a home’s story, makes the tale cozier.
