Purple Satin and Chiffon as Enchanting Base
I started by layering a piece of purple chiffon over a rectangular satin tablecloth in a complementing shade — just a simple fabric find a local store.
The delicate pearl embellishments add extra cuteness to this tablescape base. I used these purple chiffons for a Tangle-inspired bridal shower, too.
Mirror and Cute Purple Vase
Then, I added a round mirror in the middle. I placed it on a couple of coasters to raise it off the table.
And completed the look with a round purple vase filled with pink and purple flowers. I find this vase absolutely adorable.
Necklaces and Butterflies for Fluttering Vibe
For a touch of extra sparkle, I placed two butterfly necklaces on the mirror and another two on the chiffon. These can double as thoughtful gifts for the birthday girl or charming party favors for the guests.
I scattered delicate purple butterflies across the mirror and chiffon to finish the look, adding a fun, fluttery vibe. After all, this is a butterfly party centerpiece.
Butterfly Balloons Make the Space Cheerful
Yes, my husband is a bit of a dinosaur — he still has his trusty record player. Though, I hear vinyl has made a comeback. We displayed some of his records at a Jazz-themed dinner party I threw for his birthday.
As you can tell, our butterfly party took place in the fall, and I didn’t bother removing all our seasonal decorations except for the table.
Still, I wanted to show you our fun purple butterfly — it was such a cheerful touch. It is still fluttering around as I’m writing this post in December.

- satin tablecloth that does not break the bank
- chiffon, this one does not have pearls but looks lovely
- a round mirror (10″) placed on a couple of coasters (check out Hobby Lobby and other craft stores for individual mirrors, mine is a ten piece set)
- cute vase
- flowers
- 3D butterflies
- butterfly necklaces
I wish I had thought to use fairy lights. They would’ve added some extra twinkle to this party.
